About Us
At USAH2A, we specialize in helping American farmers navigate the complex H-2A visa process with confidence and ease.

Founded by a former H-2A worker from South Africa, our agency brings a unique, firsthand understanding of both sides of the program—what it takes for farmers to meet the legal requirements, and what it means for workers seeking opportunities in the U.S. agricultural sector.
Having lived the experience, we know the challenges farmers face in securing reliable seasonal labor and how overwhelming the paperwork and compliance requirements can be. That’s why USAH2A was created: to be a bridge between hardworking American farm owners and dependable foreign labor, while ensuring full compliance with U.S. Department of Labor and immigration regulations.
We take pride in offering a personal, streamlined approach to H-2A certification, tailored to each farm’s unique needs. Whether you’re hiring one worker or a hundred, we manage the entire application process from start to finish—including job order preparation, housing and wage compliance guidance, and coordination with state and federal agencies.
At USAH2A, we don’t just process forms—we build relationships. Our goal is to help your farm thrive by providing the labor support you need, backed by integrity, experience, and a deep respect for the farming community.
Let us handle the paperwork so you can focus on what you do best—feeding America.

What is the H2A Program?
The H-2A agricultural program is a visa system that lets U.S. farmers bring in foreign workers to help with seasonal or temporary farm work—like planting, picking, and harvesting crops. It’s been around in some form since the 1950s, but the modern version of the program was officially set up in 1986 through immigration reform laws.
To use the program, farmers have to prove that there aren’t enough U.S. workers available and that bringing in foreign workers won’t hurt wages or working conditions for American farmhands. If approved, they can bring in workers for specific periods of time—usually during planting or harvest seasons.
From a farmer’s point of view, H-2A has a lot of benefits. First off, it gives them reliable labor. Farming is unpredictable enough with weather and crop prices—knowing you’ll have enough hands in the field at the right time makes a big difference. Instead of scrambling to find last-minute help, farmers can plan ahead, which helps reduce crop losses and boosts efficiency.
Even though farmers are required to provide housing, meals, and transportation for H-2A workers, many say it’s worth it because the labor is steady and dependable. That stability leads to higher productivity, less wasted produce, and better business outcomes overall.
The program also plays a big role in supporting the U.S. economy. When farms have the workers they need, they produce more food. That not only helps keep grocery store prices stable but also supports jobs in related industries like food processing, trucking, and equipment sales. Plus, when rural farms succeed, the small towns and communities around them benefit too.
The U.S. government only allows H-2A workers from certain countries, and that list includes over 80 nations. Most of the workers come from places like Mexico, Jamaica, Guatemala, and South Africa. In fact, in 2023, more than 370,000 H-2A visas were issued—a record number that shows just how important this program has become to American agriculture.
The H-2A program is especially useful for farms that grow fruits, vegetables, and nuts, where most of the work is done by hand. These types of crops can’t always be harvested by machines, so having skilled, seasonal workers is a must.
All in all, the H-2A program has become a vital tool for many U.S. farmers. It helps keep their operations running smoothly, supports rural economies, and plays a part in keeping America’s food supply steady and affordable. For farmers who rely on seasonal labor, it’s often the difference between a good year and a tough one.
